About Open Stage
Open Stage first met on the 12th October 1995, after a visit from a disabled theatre company to the borough, with the help and support of Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. The group relaunched in May 2007 as a voluntary not for profit organisation under the umbrella of Dudley Council for Voluntary Services (DCVS), to whom the group owe their appreciation.
The Group meets:
Thursday at 7.15 p.m. at The Source Barnett Lane, Wordsley, Stourbridge
We currently have over 20 members and volunteers. Over the years we have produced many shows and performances. However, what is at the heart of Open Stage is everyone meeting each week to have fun and enjoy themselves through working creatively, and tea and biscuits at break time!
Everyone is welcome. You are welcome to come along and see what we are about, just drop us an email or give us a call so that we can give you an extra big welcome when you turn up! If you are a little nervous don't worry, you are more than welcome to sit and watch. The group are used to people who might find things a little overwhelming to start with.
Open Stage rely on the volunteers who support the group members so a huge thank-you to you all! We are always interested in volunteers who might want to come and help, so do get in touch.
