Secretary

Bio

Wendy found her love of Drama at secondary school when she was encouraged to take part in the school productions by her teacher Norman Hodgkinson. Her favourite being Peter Terson's widely studied play Zigger Zagger, which was the National Youth theatres first ever new writing commission.

Wendy later studied Drama and Design at Wolverhampton University under the tutelage of Netta Denville, and has been part of Open Stage for 20 years, and secretary for 10 years. Along with the other members of the Open Stage committee she is a champion for people to access the arts, regardless of ability, and enjoys being involved in all aspects of the artistic process. She is proud of the dedication and hard work that everyone brings to the performances and that this has meant that Open Stage has kept going through loss of funding over the years.
